James R. Lyle, Founder (1948-2007)
Sadly Mr. Lyle passed away on December 23, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer.Founder of The Medical Bureau has more than thirty years experience in Association Management. He is a member of the American Association of Medical Society Executives and a charter member of the National Association of Healthcare Consultants. Mr. Lyle is also renown in the Practice Mangement field. He was charter member of the National Association Of Healthcare Consultants and for many years served as President of one of the nation's largest Practice Management and Consulting Corporations. Although Mr. Lyle is very well known outside his home state of Georgia, he was recognized as the "Non-Physician of the Year" by the Medical Association Of Georgia at its annual meeting October, 2004. Mr. Lyle is absolutely committed to physicians and their ability to provide the most excellent patient care possible. He is also committed to ensuring physicians receive appropriate reimbursement for their work. Mr. Lyle seeks to help physicians, administrators and office managers with all areas related to the business of their practice. Mr. Lyle gained international recognition when he was invited to help establish private practice medicine in the new Russia State after the fall of the USSR. Mr. Lyle has also made his mark in the public service arena. A Rotarian since 1975, he has served as President of his local club and District Governor in Georgia, serving 61 Rotary clubs, in 1995-96. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, Hue Thomas Fellow, Will Watt Fellow and a major donor to the Rotary Foundation.Mr. Lyle most recently represented the President of Rotary International at its conference in New York. Mr. Lyle attended the University Of South Carolina and Phillips College, graduating with a degree in accounting. He is an accomplished pilot and routinely flies his own aircraft to visit his clients.
